Do you have what it takes to be an entreprneuer? "First Steps in Starting Your Own Business" is a quarterly workshop, held on the first Tuesday of the month and is open to the public.The class is a colaberative effort by Racine County Workforce Solutions and the Kenosha Area Business Alliance. The two-hour workshop focuses on questions entrepreneurs may face when taking the leap. Some topics include: business plan development, market feasibility, financial and lender resources. and Small Business Administration (SBA) Resources. Cost: $10.

Social Media and Branding Toolkit
The Small Business Development Center located at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside is very excited to once again offer our Social Media and Branding Toolkit workshop for small business owners. Join us on Monday, October 15th from 6-8pm to discuss your small business’s brand values and how to communicate those values to customers through social media. If you don’t have any existing branding (logos, websites, social media, etc.) you’ll get a crash course in what platforms would be right for your business, and tips on running those platforms effectively.
